Historic Properties – The Heart of the Community

Sandwich Library

Sandwich Town Hall & Grist Mill

 

Purpose Of Scholarship:  To promote interest in the architectural and social history of the Sandwich community as reflected in the town’s historic properties.

 

Who is eligible to participate:  All high school seniors and home scholled students who are Residents of Sandwich.

 

Students will choose one of the following 10 properties to make a presentation on. The material may be presented in any format the student chooses. A copy of the presentation must be submitted to be eligible. Submitted presentations will be copied and provided to the Sandwich Historian at the Sandwich Public Library.

The judging committee is comprised of architects, historians and committee members.

 

Scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each will be awarded to the top 3 winning students.

 

SUBMISSION ENTRY DEADLINE is 26 April 2013.

Any participating Realtor or SRSF Committee member can assist the student or the family in developing an application for the scholarship program.
