Historic Properties – The Heart of the Community

Purpose Of Scholarship:  To promote interest in the architectural and social history of the Sandwich community as reflected in the town’s historic properties.Hoxie House

 

Who is eligible to participate:  All seniors who are residents of Sandwich and who attend Sandwich High School or Upper Cape Regional Vocational Tech, Sacred Heart, Falmouth Academy, Cape Cod Academy, Sturgis Charter School, Tabor Academy, Bishop Stang High School, or who are home schooled.

 

Students will choose one of the following 10 properties to make a presentation on. The material may be presented in any format the student chooses. A copy of the presentation must be submitted to be eligible.

The judging committee is comprised of architects, historians and committee members.

 

TWO scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each will be awarded to the top two winning students.

 

SUBMISSION ENTRY DEADLINE is Spring 2011 (Specific Date TBA).

Each representative Real Estate Office has been designated as a liaison to a particular school and entries should be submitted as follows:
